A Power Engineer is a person proficient in the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of a power plant.  Power plants converts potential energy into usable energy.  This can be in the form of heat, cooling, process steam, electricity generation or many other forms of energy.  A Power Engineer is often responsible for all the utilities of a facility

For over 120 years NAPE has educated its members, in chapters across the country, in the field of power engineering.  Connecticut 11 is located in Central Connecticut, Its members operate and maintain power plants thru out Connecticut.
